PD Warrior™ has been designed for people newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease. This program was developed in response to the growing body of evidence suggesting that exercise is front line defence for people with Parkinson’s disease.
PD Warrior™ is licenced to Neurological Physiotherapist, Rebecca Parker, and Como Health & Fitness Centre are very pleased to be able to support Rebecca’s work within the Parkinson’s community.
This program is specifically designed to assist with the management of the symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. In the program you will be doing exercises to drive the brains natural ability to re-wire itself and protect itself
Rebecca graduated in physiotherapy from Curtin University in 1990 and has been working in adult rehabilitation since then. This includes in inpatient, outpatient and community settings both in Perth and overseas.
She has a special interest in Parkinson’s disease and previously worked in the Parkinson’s Clinic at Osborne Park Hospital. In 2013 she completed a post graduate diploma in neurological rehabilitation at UWA and both the PD Warrior and LSVT BIG training programs.
PD Warrior is a program that provides exercise, education, support for people with Parkinson’s disease and she is excited to have been the first to offer it in Perth
