This month we want to focus on our fantastic Accredited Exercise Physiologist, Jay Border.
I hold a Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science and a Graduate Diploma in Clinical Exercise Physiology from Murdoch University. Over the course of my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a range of clinical and community settings, supporting a diverse group of clients in achieving their health and fitness goals.
With over eight years of experience in resistance training, I am passionate about helping individuals of all levels improve their physical condition, confidence, and overall wellbeing. I believe in the transformative power of movement and take pride in creating a safe, supportive environment where clients feel empowered to succeed.
My experience includes extensive work with participants under the NDIS, as well as older adults aiming to reduce fall risk, maintain or improve their functional independence, and enhance longevity. I have a strong interest in managing osteoporosis and am a qualified Onero™ instructor—a scientifically backed exercise program designed to build bone density and reduce falls.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends at local cafés and prioritizing my own fitness routine. Whether it’s participating in group fitness classes or hitting the gym with my partner, staying active is a key part of my lifestyle.
If you see Jay in the gym, don’t be afraid to say hello and ask for help or advice with your workouts!
See you soon, at Como Fitness 24/7!
